The Sweet Spot is our fully furnished luxurious backwoods camp site. Located just outside of the main campground, it sits on two small terraces and encompasses a total of 80 square meters of private area.  The Sweet Spot is secluded and offers plenty of shade, views of the surrounding hills and an open night sky.  The site consists of an antique canvass 2-person tent mounted on a sturdy and level platform.  The tent is outfitted with sheepskin carpets, a small table, a camping fan, battery operated lamp and a cushy queen-sized bed.  All bedding and towels are provided. There is a small outdoor kitchen, complete with gravity-fed sink (60l water provided/2 nights), dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, propane burner, fire pit with grill and an icy-cold cooler (we will refresh ice as needed).  There is a small, dining table and comfortable armchairs for lounging.  The site also has a private composting (dry) toilet.  This site is walk-in only and not electrified.  We provide parking in front of the main house and lighting for the area.  Guests of The Sweet Spot are welcome to enjoy the main campground as well and can go down to use the camp shower, go for a swim, use the Wi-Fi and charge devices.

• a flashlight for navigating the main campground at night

• bug spray and coils, as this is a wild spot and there are biting insects

• food and drink

• toiletries

• appropriate clothing for the weather

• swimsuits

• flipflops / hiking boots

• an appetite for adventure and a love of nature

 

This is a real campsite and not a hotel, although it is luxurious and well equipped, it is still wild and off-grid.
